A Horse for Baby Kayley

3 of my friends are having their first babies this year, the year of the horse. And I've been making like crazy but behind on posting, as always. :)

So, here's the first horse I make this year and some booties for the first of the horse babies that my friends are popping out. :)

My first time meeting this sweet heart I had to bring tributes so I brought a horse personalized with her info and a cute pair of booties that fit perfectly! :)

This adorable horse amigurumi pattern is FREE from All About Ami. Just click HERE for the free crochet pattern. The little booties are also a Free pattern by Louise Mac.

I hope to remember to post what I gave them for their baby showers soon. :) But you know this panda, it might be a while. hehe

10 days till Halloween - Free Crochet Ghost Patterns!

OMG! Only 10 days till Halloween!!! And I've only made one thing to decorate with. :p I haven't been really in the Halloween mood but with some really cute crochet patterns out there and my wonderful friend, Bunny, from thewanderingbunny.blogspot.com sending me a great fun Halloween/Fall package, I'm getting in the holiday mood. :)

I love how she made this really cute felt raccoon feltie and then sent me the magazine with the pattern in it. :) hehe She also sent me some great Halloween decorations and treats. Makes me feel like digging up my Halloween decorations and go to town. :)

Since I'm just getting into crocheting Halloween themed cuties, I thought I would help you guys with some cute free patterns as well. :) Tonight, it will be cute friendly ghosts. :)

Let me introduce Andy, a little ghost who wanted to be a panda so bad that he decided to add panda markings for Halloween. With his limited resources, he wasn't able to completely become a panda but he is still quite adorable. :)

I made this cutie from the Free Baby Ghost Ornament Pattern from A Morning Cup of Jo Creations. You can find it HERE through craftsy. I would also follow her on the Facebook Page for more great patterns and giveaways. :)

The sweet guy is from Lion Brand and his name is Genie. I made him last year for my friend Rachel, my best Bunny, and added a sparkily red scarf for him. Sadly, I don't have a picture to post but you can find him on her blog (url is earlier in the post). For this free pattern, click HERE.

I found this larger crochet ghost over at craftsy. Just click HERE, it's free. :)

Click HERE for this adorable ghost decoration for Halloween. IDEA! :) You could also do a "Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Speak no Evil" ghost set with this pattern. :)

One of my favorite crochet designers, Twinkie Chan, came up with this Ghost Candy Container using Yoplait yogurt containers. Her adorable free pattern can be found on her blog, HERE. I would check out her other patterns, they are all adorable and usually centered around food. hehe

Can you believe it? I was so excited that someone wrote out a pattern for Zero the Ghost Dog and it's free!! You can find the pattern HERE.

And lastly, here is a great ghost bowl for all your treats. :) Boo!tiful Candy Bowl Free pattern from Lion Brand Yarn, HERE. :)

I would love to see all of your cute creations! Please post pictures on my Facebook Page, Panda8ngel Creations. :)

Crochet Dragon Baby Hat

After crocheting amigurumi using smaller crochet hooks and tight stitches, it feels really strange to use the actual size crochet hook that the yarn calls for. The hook feels so big! hehe (sorry, my mind went to a naughty place.)

On one of my favorite blogs, All About Ami, she posted these hats that she made.

Green, blue and coral earflap hats with white edging

Click here to see the post about the cute hats above. And she made this one below as well:

Here is another earflap hat I made from Alli’s Crafts. It is essentially the same as the newborn earflap hat pattern (I blogged about them here), but this one is sized for 6 month old babies (pattern found here)! I switched to brown for Row 9 and used the pattern for the “Loopy Six-Petal Flower” found here, also adding a button in the centre. I think pink and brown make a lovely colour combination, don’t you? Check out Alli’s blog as she also has earflap hat patterns for premies, newborns, 3, 6, and 9-12 month old babies and toddlers as well!

She did an amazing job. I loved the basic hat but I had to make it for a baby boy. It was obvious to try to make a dragon baby hat since it's the year of the Dragon so, here it my version. :)

I hope he's not too scary for the parents. hehe I am sending it along with the pink baby hat to the Solider's Angels of California baby shower for some strong Marine wives.

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft
Hook: 5 mm
Pattern: Baby Ear Flap Hat for Newborn by Alli Crafts

For the ridges, I double crochet directly onto the hat because I didn't want too many seams or to have to sew it on.

Ridges Pattern:
Join the yarn to any stitch on the top of the hat along the middle line. You will crochet each line of pattern into one stitch/hole/row on the hat base.
ch 1, sc, hdc
dc, tc
dc, hdc
sc
sc down to last 3 holes you want, turn
sc all the way down but stop when you get to the first ridge
turn and crochet the rest of the pattern onto the sc rows

Ridges
ch (first one only),
sc, hdc
dc tc dc
hdc slpst
repeat till you get back down the row

In the last 3 holes:
sc, hdc
dc, tc
dc, hdc, sc

That was what I came up with. It didn't end up exactly what I pictured in my head but I think it looks cute.

For the dots I made:
2 large circles - dark blue
magic ring
10 dc
2 sc in each dc

"Eyes" x2
light blue 6 sc in ring
join with dk blue
(skip 1st st bc too hard to get into) 2 dc x5 - crochet tails in under these stitches

You could have also made a large circle of dark blue and a small circle of light blue or a button and just layer them.

2 med/small circles - dark blue
10 dc in ring

Just sew on the dots with simple running stitch around. Done! :)

Free Bunny Rabbit Amigurumi Crochet Patterns

My oldest friend, not old as in age but old as in we've known each other since middle school!, has started crocheting. Yea! Her first amigurumi is this cute little bunny blob. :) I thought since she doesn't have a pinterest account. What?!?!?! I know...but she doesn't so I though I would post some cute free bunny ami patterns that I have found for all of you guys's enjoyment. :)

Patten Springbunny Sideview

First off is Stephanie from All About Ami's Spring Bunnies. I love all of her free patterns. She also has a great drawing showing you how she did their little nose. And the rose is included in the free pattern. :) I made this bunny for my friend (you can see it here) but it looks completely different. :P

Here is Stephanie's other adorable bunny, Sweet Heart Bunny. She does this post called "Crochet Corner" where she showcases other's people's versions of her patterns, check out other people's Sweetheart bunny here.

This is the Miffy Bunny Doll by Armina Parnagian.

Here is Petunia the Purple bunny Ballerina by Sweet N' Cute Creations. I am definitely going to try making this little cutie one day but I think I might change the ears.

Anita did a wonderful job of changing the original pattern found here, that I just posted a picture of her version which can be seen here. :)

PatchesFront

This is Patches - the Carrot Loving Bunny from ami amour.

Here is Miss Emma Bunny Rabbit. I love how she added the rhinestones into the insides of her ears. :)

Over Easter, I found these two cute egg bunnies.

Amiguria posted the bunny and eggs patterns

Lion Brand Yarn has this cute Amigurumi Bunny Egg Cozy free on their site. You just have to register for free to get access to all their cute patterns.

Here are a few more odd balls that I think are really cute! :)

free amigurumi crochet pattern

Say hi to the Pink Rabbit Monster! hehe I think she is too cute to be a real monster. :p

And this is Tuzki the Rabbit. I love his attitude. hehe

Now you might be a little frightened by this one but I think my friend will get a hoot out of him. hehe

Zombi Bunny!!! I really like him for Halloween. hehe

I have like 4 free patterns for large bunnies with long arms and legs but I think there are enough patterns on this post to make it huge so I will save those for another day. :)

So, I will leave you guys with this recently found pattern. Now, it is not a crochet pattern but it is so cute!

How to sew sock bunny

Craft Passion has a lot of cute sewing patterns including the sock monkey so they did Sock Bunnies!!! Since my friend made this really cute Fortune cat out of socks, I think she will really like these sock bunnies. hehe

I hope this post has inspired you guys to make your own little army of bunnies to keep the monsters away at night. :) Have fun!
