Valentines Earrings

Since I didn’t have a Valentines, I decided to give mine to my first love, my mom. :)

She has been asking me to make her earrings but I’ve been acting like I was ignoring her. And since she wasn’t interested in chocolates, I decided to hide 6 pairs of earrings in a box of chocolates. Lol I had to ask her to open the box or they would’ve just sat there. I wish I had taken a pic of her face bc she was so surprised and happy. :)

Crystal beads on interchangeable lever backs.
I saw these earrings at my local bead store and fell in love. They were longer with one more set of beads in a smaller size on each end but that would be too long for my mom so I kept it more our length.

Here are the other 4 pairs of earrings. All used Swarovski crystals and were quite a simple design but I love them and so do my mom! :)

A Horse for Baby Kayley

3 of my friends are having their first babies this year, the year of the horse. And I've been making like crazy but behind on posting, as always. :)

So, here's the first horse I make this year and some booties for the first of the horse babies that my friends are popping out. :)

My first time meeting this sweet heart I had to bring tributes so I brought a horse personalized with her info and a cute pair of booties that fit perfectly! :)

This adorable horse amigurumi pattern is FREE from All About Ami. Just click HERE for the free crochet pattern. The little booties are also a Free pattern by Louise Mac.

I hope to remember to post what I gave them for their baby showers soon. :) But you know this panda, it might be a while. hehe

My largest amigurumi to date! Watermelon loving Elephant. :)

I was delighted to test Laura’s, Happyamigurumi, Elephant pattern. He turned out huge because I used a 4mm hook when the patten called for a 2mm hook.  He turned out to be 15in tall and took about 10 hrs to make. I loved the colors. And since they were watermelon colors, I had to make a yummy treat for him. :)
So here is my Elephant. He loves watermelon just like his grandma. :)
He found a great home with my step brother in Colorado. :)

I love this panda folder and notepads....hehe I "stole" this little fold out notepad set from this giveaway she is going to do at her MobiCon booth. But not to worry, pandas will represent since I sent her some cute panda stationary to replace it. :p

And lastly, but definitely not least, she got some business cards made for us! Isn't it just so cool?! And the sweetest panda business card holder matches perfectly!!! I don't know how she does it but she finds the absolutely most adorable stuff!! I hope she found a bunny business card holder for herself. hehe

A Horse for Mrs. San

One of my really good friend’s mother had a commission for me. Her Chinese horoscope is the horse so she wanted me to crochet her a horse after seeing all the other cute stuff I made.  :) I was happy to do it for her. Even though she said she would like to pay for it, I decided to give it to her for Christmas. :)

My favorite part is her eyes. Horses have the most beautiful eyes and she is no exception. :)

Surprise Halloween Package from Bunny

My beloved friend, Rachel sent me a surprise Halloween package a little early so I can enjoy it for the season. :) I decided to share all the goodies with you! :)

In the purple tissue paper, she put this cute mug with a zombie, this adorable black cat, and some panda earrings. The apple case held 2 cute Halloween tins full of candy! And lastly, the black spiderweb had some fixings so that I can have a yummy cup of hot coco (which I'm drinking right now :P) for those cold nights. :)

I can't wait to start decorating with all the cute items I've received over the years. Yes, I have not started decorating for Halloween. :p I've been so behind!

In the cute Halloween shoebox, there were tons of amazing goodies. Safety noses and eyes for all my crafting. More candies, come smell good candles, lotions, and sanitizers, a cupcake kit, cute ribbons, note pad, and playing cards to add to my collection.

I love that she included the Hobbit. But now my dilemma is whether or not to read it before watching the movie or after. :p

I always love and cherish the cards she sends me. I have a bunch of boxes full. :)

My own package to her is still not ready but I hope to have it done soon so stay tuned. Thanks again little bunny!! I love it all! :)

Tricycle Diaper Cake

I've always wanted to make a diaper cake but at my first baby shower, her sister made one. It was cute but I was happy when I had an excuse to make one myself. :)

There are a lot of tutorials on the web on how to make one but these two seemed the easiest to understand and most complete: Diaper Motorcycle tutorial by Sweet Aprils and Tricycle Diaper Cake Tutorial from Maiden D'Shade. I looked for the Tricycle diaper cake tutorial when I was starting to put mine together but couldn't find it until after I was done. :p  So, I didn't put the front wheel between the two back wheels. I also couldn't get it to fit right so I just put the back 2 wheels together. :p hehe

For next time, put a paper towel or toilet paper roll core in the center of the cake pan or use a plain bunt cake pan. It will make it easier to shape the diaper wheels. :)

Materials:

- Glad Press'n Seal Wrap (to cover the diapers to protect them from dust and dirt.)
I wanted the mom to be able to use the diapers as long with everything else.

- Baby Bottle for the Head Light

- Diapers, size 1  for the wheels

- 2 bibs for the front bumper and seat

- 2 receiving blankets to tie it all together

- Teddy Bear as the rider

- String to help the receiving blankets hold everything together
- Ribbon to keep things together and as a decorative touch
- Toilet paper roll core to give the handle bars structure
- Double sided Tape to help hold it together

What I made:
- Angel Washcloth (Wrapped around the baby bottle)
-  Baby Hat in the baby bottle
- Baby Mittens for the handle bars

If you want to see how I wrapped it, keep scrolling below. :)

Panda's Tip of the Day:

I made a base for the diaper cake to sit on to give it more structure and stability instead of just wrapping it as is. I used double sided tape to make sure it didn't shift during transport. :)
Next, I wrapped everything with the cellophane wrap, added the shreds, and tied everything with ribbon. :)

I hope the lucky Marine wife and mom to be loves it and uses it. hehe
