Valentines Earrings

Since I didn’t have a Valentines, I decided to give mine to my first love, my mom. :)

She has been asking me to make her earrings but I’ve been acting like I was ignoring her. And since she wasn’t interested in chocolates, I decided to hide 6 pairs of earrings in a box of chocolates. Lol I had to ask her to open the box or they would’ve just sat there. I wish I had taken a pic of her face bc she was so surprised and happy. :)

Crystal beads on interchangeable lever backs.
I saw these earrings at my local bead store and fell in love. They were longer with one more set of beads in a smaller size on each end but that would be too long for my mom so I kept it more our length.

Here are the other 4 pairs of earrings. All used Swarovski crystals and were quite a simple design but I love them and so do my mom! :)

Thanks for visiting and checking out my earrings. :) I hope you enjoyed looking at them. My friend loved them and promptly exchanged the earrings she had on for the black and white ones that matched her outfit. Luckily, the earrings she had on originally was not from her husband because he would've objected. :)
Hope you have a nice weekend!

Flat Spiral Crystal Bracelet

Summer Bday gift part 2

My friend, Summer's birthday gift started with the Crystal Flower Bracelet, but it looked too lonely in the gift box so I had to make something else for her. :) Since nothing came to mind, I went back to an old stand by. I love the RAW and flat spiral stitches. :)

I didn't like how just the pearls in the middle looked so I decided to just to turn it into a sample piece and try out alternating crystals ini the center. Then I liked the look of them together and continued until I finished the bracelet. I like the look of the ends being a little different but still symmetrical. :) What do you guys think? :)

Materials:
13mm lobster clasp
6mm Swarovski Crystal Pearls in light blue
4mm Swarovski Crystal Pearls in cream
6mm Bicone Swarovski Crystals in aqua
8lb Fireline
Seed bead SGB co 15-457G size15 bronze
Seed bead size 11 19A Toho blue

To finish it off, I made her a birthday card. She collects buttons so I used them to make bundles of "balloons". :) I also included a bag of buttons from my collection to add to hers. :) I tied the gift box with the rainbow string I used for the string on the button balloons as well.

Happy Belated Birthday Summer!!! :)

Just a quick aside about my buttons. I saw this set of drawers next to a dumpster one day and decided to go rifling through the drawers. What I found was a drawer full of buttons! Score! I happily took them home, sorted, and bagged them. They really do come in handy. hehe You know you are a real crafter when...you are happy to find a big bag of buttons that someone else didn't want. hehe I have had them for years and still haven't been able to use them all. :)

Crystal Flower Bracelet

My friend, Summer's Birthday just passed and I am a terrible friend for just starting to make her present. :p I finally broke through the craft block because of this beautiful pattern. :) I was looking for something to do with roses because I saw her beautiful wedding gown's skirt was filled with roses and pearl details. She may be a wild child and a free spirit but she is truly a traditional/antique romantic at heart. :)

Day 4 - Organize your beads

My beads are fairly organized because I love organizing them! :) It is so much fun for me. The one thing I don't like is that I have too many different containers and they are not unified. I get things on sale as I need them. When I get my own beading and crafting workspace, I think I will try to make everything more cohesive.

Sadly, all of my beads and beading supplies are currently hiding under my table. Please excuse the mess. :p

Here is one of my organizational tools. I hope this inspires some of you. :)

My trays filled with my beads! :)
I bought this carrying case to hold 4 of these cases with acrylic lids so I can see what's inside. I filled each case with these acrylic boxes, sized 1"x2" or 2"x2". I love that they are clear so I can see through them. On the bottom of each little box, I put a sticker with the color, size, and price of each bead. You can see the stickers peaking through the boxes in the bottom row.

Swarovski Crystals
Double layered
I usually have my 3mm of the same color under the 4mm crystals.

I love these acrylic boxes because I can pick up the beads without having to spill them out onto a bead pad. That is of course when I am bead weaving without a needle. It was my first teacher that gave me the idea. :)

In this case, I put in my tubes of seed beads, bugle beads, and cubes. But I hope in the future to get one of these tube storage system to hold all of these pretty tubes. I love looking at them! :)

It was especially hard to keep things nice when I had to take my stuff to the beading classes that I used to teach. You want things portable but you can't bring everything. That was the biggest headache for me because I never knew what I would need or not need. :p

Happy Organizing all your pretties! :)

Day 2 - Use Up Some Bead Leftovers

This is Day 2 of Fusion Bead's 30 Day Bead Challenge and I have not finished my project from Day 1. :( I did get to decorate a tote and make a cute Lucky Clover pin but am not inspired to do anything with beads. :( I still pushed on.

Today, you are suppose to use up some bead leftovers. I rarely have any because I have stopped buying just for specific projects. But I do have 3 beads that have no homes at the moment. They were not picked to be in my friend, Melissa's birthday necklace. (I will post about this at a latter time when I can actually get a hold of the necklace and take some nice pictures. :p)

Here are the poor little guys:

Cute Hat Bead
Sheep Bead
Sheep's little face
Green Apple
I tried the hat on a lot of different 3D beaded shapes like my fish and hearts but it just didn't fit. So I decided to make the sheep bead into a fob for a cell phone or key chains.

I have a red dragon amgurumi to finish before I can finish up my Day 1 challenge. :p
Hope you all are having fun crafting! :)

Just Because Package

My best rabbit friend, Rachel, just got her package so I am able to post this. She squealed and sang so I think I did good with her package this time. :) Since I like her pics better, I am just going to link you to her post on the contents of the package. :) I am going to highlight some of her goodies for ya.

This cute My Melody note pad has one of those changing pictures on the front. I think it's so adorable. :P

And here is a Happy New Years pop up card. :) It is actually from Sanrio I do believe. :)

And Lastly, I just wanted to post some pics of my beading that I sent to her. She is going to have a booth at MobiCon this year in May with her friend. So, if you are in Mobile, Alabama, stop by and see these beauties in person. :)

Have a nice Mardi Gras weekend everyone! Stay safe.

I Heart my Friends

Happy SAD! Happy V-Day!

I am sending all my love to my friends and family since I don't have a guy to shower. :)

My mom's Valentines Day gift. It's a bracelet I made for her with frame beads from inmcrystal.com. I printed out black and white pics of her favorite people onto cardstock and slipped them in. This is not waterproof but my mom doesn't want to wear it too much. :P She's just going to keep it for sentimental value. I was going to cover each picture, front and back, with modge podge to protect it. :) And to make it more comfortable to wear, I used stretchy cord with a clasp.

Hope you guys have a great day! I am going to say it's ok to overdo the sweets, but just today. :p

Butterfly Fobs

My friend is going to have a spot at MobiCon to sell some cute stuff and has asked me to make her some butterfly fobs. I finished them up last night. :)

There's a pink one, a purple one, and a springtime colored one. I am lucky to have colored hangers and bells to match from Taiwan. I am debating on whether or not to make a blue one since a lot of girls these days like the color blue. :p

Have a fun time doing your Valentine crafting this weekend!

Bowaroma

I made this purple bow ring and thought it would be a cute cell phone charm. I decided pink would be really cute too. Here is the finished product. :)

Hmm...what other colors should I make these in?

Happy Hump Day!

Gifts for Pat

I made a couple more bracelets as a gift to my friend, Paromita, in Maryland. Another friend, Mel, is going to visit so I wanted to send something pretty along. :)

Strung Butterfly Bracelet

I made another 3 Hearts bracelet but this time, I made the hearts face the same way. And added the Owl earrings I made earlier.

Package
This is how I packaged them together.

Miss you guys!

All in a Day's work

Here are the projects I have finished today. :)

One of my guy friends asked me to make him a bracelet. He saw the Buddhist one I got during Chinese New Years. What do you think? I showed him an option in which I alternated one black round bead and one brown cylindrical bead. But he wanted me to alternate two or three to make it more interesting. I thought I would make it even more unique by alternating 2 and 3 brown beads with one round black bead in between. He also asked me to use stretch cord with a clasp. The customer is always right. :)

Red bow bracelet
I was trying to make more all red lucky bracelets for my friends. Here is one I thought up. It even includes these red cylinders that my friend sent me for Xmas. :)

Red and White Bow bracelet
I think the red hearts put together like this with a red crystal bicone in the middle makes them look like cute bows. The clear AB crystal beads really make the bows pop.

Owl Earrings
When I was bead shopping, I came across these cute owl charms and thought they would be great as earrings. Here they are finished. I added some crystal beads in turquoise to match something on the owl. I hope my friend in Maryland will like these. :) I only wished that I had gold wiring and earring findings in order to match the gold in the owls.

I hope your weekend was just as productive. :)
