I made this little mouse from a Christmas ornament pattern for my friend, Becky, who just graduated. :)
I hope you will check him out in my blog. :)

She liked the Graduation Teddy Amigurumi!

The sweet and beautiful, Stephanie, posted another Crochet Corner on her blog, All About Ami. :) This time it is her Graduation Teddy. In case you don't know, Crochet Corner, is where she posts pics of other people's ami that they have made using her patterns. I think it is a very cute idea. :)

I'm excited because she featured both my Graduation Cupcake Bear Ami and the full size Graduation Teddy. :D If you haven't checked out her blog, you gotta! It's so cute and has tons of adorable free patterns for ami! There are tons of eye candy too because her husband takes beautiful photos. :) Have fun!

Thanks again for the cute pattern and featuring my bears, Stephanie! :)

Note: both girls loved their gifts! :) It really makes me happy when people are so appreciative of all the hard work that goes into a gift that is handmade. :)

Graduation Teddy Amigurumi

A recently made friend just graduated with a Doctorate of Nursing. What does a doctor need? A teddy bear, of course. :)...Ok, it just came to my attention that this Doctor loves pink and my friend's finance's daughter doesn't like pink but is good with brown so that bears have switched owners. :)

I used Stephanie's very cute free Graduation Teddy pattern. I didn't change anything on her pattern (O.o) except the colors of the appendages. I also added poly pellets to the body for more weight and part of a toilet paper roll to the inside of the bottom of the graduation cap to give it more body. :)

I love his cute little bootie. :)

Materials:
Yarn: Lion Brand Vanna's Choice in Oatmeal and Chocolate
3.75mm crochet hook
Safety eyes: 12mm animal eyes
Muzzle: Brown felt and tan embroidery floss
Poly pellets and Nature-fill Polyfill

Graduation cap:
Yarn: Lion Bran Vanna's Choice in "Black"
Stuff black felt
Toilet paper cardboard roll

Congratulations to all those who are Graduating this year!!! Good Job! It's the end of a chapter in your education, now to start the next chapter! :) Party while you can! :)

Update:
Stephanie, the sweet designer of the pattern, commented that she really liked the variegated yarn I used. Just as I was responding back that the color of the yarn is called Oatmeal, I decided to name the bear Oatmeal. So, his name is now officially, Oatmeal! :)

Graduation Cupcake Bear Amigurumi

Graduation is around the corner so I thought I would whip this little guy up for a friend. :) I used Stephanie's very cute free pattern, Mini Cupcake Bear, and just added the graduation cap. :)

I sometimes wonder if in the future, all books will be on kindles or laptops. It would lessen back problems. :) Although, I have a few friends that still love the feel and smell of an actual book. :)

Materials:
Yarn: Caron's Simply Soft in Soft Pink
3.25mm Crochet hook
Safety Eyes: 9mm
Muzzle: white felt and black embroidery floss
Bottom: Cupcake liner and Poly Pellets (for weight)
Graduation Cap: Black felt, toilet paper roll, black button, and white embroidery floss

I think all graduates should remember that learning is a lifelong process. Like laundry and dishes, it will never end. :)
